People's Artist of Russian, the Rector of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography
Born in Moscow. In 1968 graduated from the Moscow Academic Choreographic School (the class of Professor S. Golovkina). 

Her further creative destiny is connected with the Bolshoi Theatre, where she occupied a leading position as a ballet soloist for twenty years and performed the title roles in such performances of classical and contemporary repertoire as «Swan Lake», «The Sleeping Beauty», «Giselle», «Chopiniana», «The Legend of Love», «The Stone Flower», «Spartacus», «Gayane» and others.

In 1991 she graduated from the Pedagogical Department of the Ballet Master Faculty of the State Institute of Theatre Arts (the course of M.T. Semenova). In 1989 at the invitation of S. Golovkina she became a teacher of classical dance at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography.

In 2002 she was elected to the position of the Rector of the Academy. She was awarded the Orders «For Merit to the Fatherland» of III and IV degrees, the Order of Honor, the badge and an honorary title «For the honorable service to the city of Moscow», the badge of Honor from the Ministry of Culture of Russia «For the contribution to the Russian culture», was awarded more than 20 awards for her pedagogical skills and contribution to the development of art. A Laureate of the Prize of the Government of Russia.
