The General Director and Artistic Director of the General Directorate of the State Opera and Ballet Theaters of Turkey
Graduated from the Ankara State Conservatory at the Hacettepe University. After continuing his studies at the ballet department of the Izmir State Conservatory at the Dokuz Eylül University, he received a diploma of higher education. 

While studying at the university, he received an offer to dance in such famous troupes as the Young Ballet of France, the Vienna State Ballet, and the British dance company Rambert in London. Having considered all the invitations, he chose the Young Ballet of France in Paris, where he began his professional career in the world of ballet. He performed with the company of Le Jeune Ballet de France (Young Ballet of France) in Paris under the direction of Robert Berthier, and also from 1991 to 1997 danced with the Ballet National de Nancy (the State French Ballet of Nancy) under the direction of Pierre Lacotte. 

Tan Sagturk’s choreographic productions «Soude» and «Je Ne Regrette Rien», which premiered at the National Ballet of Nancy, received many positive reviews in France. From 1997 to 1998, as a leading ballet dancer at the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet Theater under the direction of Yekta Kara, he danced leading roles in «Swan Lake», «The Sleeping Beauty», «Intermediate Dances», «Interlude» and «Fait Accompli». He choreographed the ballet «Sounds of the Heart» for the Antalya State Opera and Ballet Theater. Later this performance was also staged by the Izmir State Opera and Ballet Theater. He is a Laureate of international competitions and a participant in many international festivals. Received many awards for his achievements in the field of culture and art. He is the founder of dance and ballet schools in the regions of Turkey. In order to pass on ballet culture to the future generation, he published the books «A Ballet Studio», «The Nutcracker», «The Sleeping Beauty», «Don Quixote» and «Swan Lake», in which children are told about famous classical works of ballet. In 2022 he was awarded the main Presidential Prize in the field of culture and art. 

From September 15, 2023, by a decree published in the Official Gazette, he was appointed to the position of the General Director and Chief Artistic Director of the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet Theaters of Turkey.
